Misunderstanding Of Growing Faith
Among people of Islam had stressed the importance of unity and good spirit. It is not only by the elites and religious leader, but also accommodating people’s religiousness in the term of traditional local genius. Therefore, Islam must be integrated with people to overcome moslem is problems.
The late condition of religiousness in Indonesia has be dominated by the majorities of religious leaders. This reality shown that religion movement has found direction to exclusive movement or want to win alone. Lastly, inter-religious community conflict occurs because muslims in exclusive movement as religious leaders don’t understand the reality of religiousness from various images and hidden interest behind people intellectually to oppress their rational competences which respond to their reality problems, therefore the climay of symbolic strunggle appears in Indonesia.
Immanuel kant observed that faith, which was claimed by majorities community religiousness will influence the conflict of the religiousness model, like claim truth of absolute morality, religion, or the essential value of religion. For instance, Arnold Tony Bee, conflict will present when appear clash of interest. It means that reality of religiousness in Indonesia was far from the purpose of God to delegate Prophet Muhammad SAW in order to bless for universe (rahmatan lil alamin).
We can understand the incident when MUI (Majelis Ulama Indonesia) had made termination that called “11 fatwa” in Munas (Musyawarah Nasional, 26-29 July). The ones point of fatwa are claimed haram and out of Islam to the people who was joining liberalism, secularism, pluralism, and accommodating the essence of faith in Ahmadiyah Indonesia of Community (JAI). It made many claim of truth only dominated by majorities community. Thus, the Islamic religiousness has changed to be elitism religion that religious existence is for themselves, not for social group others who using complex dialectic between factual reality and religion text.
In other word, MUI and other community of religious would guard the essence of faith of Islam. But, implementation of guard became their problem that effected by one who is concerned the existence of religion. Firstly, will answer with refuse divine revelation is regarded as Allah’s guidance from text and closing the gate of criticism or paralyzing thought by indoctrination.
Secondly, divine revelation is regarded as Allah’s guidance was revealed in a certain historical period, within the limits of social reality at that time. Finally, it will make a religious community which is fundamentals, hypocriticals versus liberalism and secularism community. It us not the religious society God and His Prophet Muhammad SAW to build the new social order, which liberating human from the hegemony except God; human greed of the elites and religious leader, text of holy book without using their creative knowledge. While Muhammad Syahrur said that without creative knowledge for integrated between factual reality and text of holy book (the Koran), the text would never there.
